This is how you set your goals and then achieve them
It is important to always have goals in life. Only in this way can we progress and improve. If you have no goals, you will logically not achieve anything. There are various areas in which you should set goals. For example, you want to find the right partner in your private life or spend more time with your family. In your job, on the other hand, you want to get better or be given more responsibility. But how do you set the right goals and how do you manage to achieve them? This is exactly what you will learn in this article.
What is really important to you?
Your days only have a limited number of hours. So you have to try to use them as much as possible so that they bring you as close as possible to achieving your goals. But what are these goals and how do you define them?
Exactly for this there is a “dead” -safe method, with which you can recognize exactly the things in your life that are really important to you.
Visualizing your most important goals
Close your eyes and imagine you’re at a funeral. One after the other, three people give a speech about the deceased. A family member, friend, and work colleague.
Now imagine it was your funeral!
Yes! Close your eyes and picture it! Imagine who these three people could be.
And now we come to what the three people say about you. What should these three people say about you? Think about it carefully!
Do you want them to say that you have always been there for your family or what great projects you have been able to realize?
Just take 10 to 15 minutes and keep your eyes closed. Relax while doing it.
This exercise is a bit drastic, but it works very well. This is the only way to recognize what is exactly important for each area of life. Or have you heard of someone who, in their deathbed, regretted not completing a project at work?
Now write down three areas that are most important to you. First, roughly enter several goals for each area of life. In the next step we will show you exactly how these should be formulated.
